The Fathom® II Star Drag Conventional Reel, model FTHII40SDP, represents the second generation of PENN®'s Fathom® II series. This star drag reel is engineered with a solid metal frame and side plates, now enhanced to be even more user-friendly. It includes a quick gear access side plate allowing anglers to service their gears and the HT-100™ drag system with ease. The PENN live spindle design ensures long, smooth casts, and for certain models, the power gear ratios provide the necessary torque to reel in deep-water fish. Note that the magnetic casting brake is only available for sizes 12 and 15.
